katybug1207 asked: Hi :] I have a printed portfolio, but I feel like it would be good to have a digital version as well... I have not done one this way before so I am unsure how to go about doing it... what programs, format, etc? any advice or suggestions? thanks :]
Hi Karybug! :) a digital portfolio is definitely a great idea because people can quickly screen you and see what you’re all about! In your current portfolio, do you have mostly drawings and paintings? I would first suggest getting all of your work documented at a a good quality in high resolution. Then, you could create a portfolio similar to the way you have it printed easily in programs such as Adobe Illustrator, InDesign or Photoshop. You could also add any text, including original size, mediums used, etc if you prefer! Remember to keep fonts and placement of images consistent throughout the portfolio! Large images of your work are always preferred. You can make it any size, but the most common and standard one remains to be 8.5x11 or 9x12. After you do this, it’s also not a bad idea to put it all on a website! publish yourself and your works can also help you organize which pieces you want to include in your portfolio! Good luck and let me know if you have any other questions!
